readyMini: Card Payment and Mobile POS in One.

The readyMini is a mobile card reader for accepting card payments and mobile payments. To use it as a POS device, you need a ready2order POS licence.

As a card reader, the readyMini Pay only works in conjunction with the ready2order POS software: you can run this on our in-house hardware or on a compatible PC, Mac, laptop, smartphone or tablet.

The readyMini is the right mobile card reader for the stationary readyMax and also complements your cash register on a laptop, computer, tablet or smartphone. It is therefore compatible with all common operating systems and all devices on which you already use ready2order.

You can also use the readyMini itself as a fully-fledged checkout device for ordering, billing and checkout.

Important: You don't need a readyMini with readyGo. Simply activate our readyPay payment service here to be able to accept cashless payments.

You can currently accept the following card payments with readyPay and the readyMini:

• Maestro / V-Pay
• MasterCard / Visa
• Google Pay
• Apple Pay

readyPay also supports

• PIN
• Chip
• Swipe

There are no fixed costs for using your readyMini - neither monthly nor annually. This is because the fees for readyPay are transaction-based: Fees are only charged for payments made. 

The following fees currently apply per transaction:

• 1.23% for all payment methods

These are charged monthly by hobex - or you receive a monthly payout in the amount of the card payments minus these costs.

Here is an example calculation: A customer buys a wedding cake at the Crispy Bakery and pays the invoice amount of 123 euros with an ATM.

A transaction fee of 1.23% is charged for using readyPay:

• 1.23% of 123 euros = 1.51 euros

The Crispy Bakery therefore effectively takes in 121.49 euros after deducting the fee.

Don't worry, your cash management will not be affected! The income of 123 euros is posted here as usual, while the charges of 1.51 euros are posted to a different account in the accounting department.

The readyMini mobile card reader offers various advantages if you do not yet offer card payments or card payments with another provider (e.g. SumUp):

• The SumUp card terminal can only be connected to Android and iOS; the readyMini fits any POS device that you currently use with ready2order.
• The readyMini integrates seamlessly into your ready2order POS system: once connected, you can accept cashless payments particularly quickly without any disruptions or connection failures.
• The readyMini can also be used as a fully-fledged cash register.

• Increase your turnover by enabling spontaneous purchases without having to look in the cash box and tap into new target groups.

As a mobile card reader, the readyMini integrates seamlessly into your ready2order checkout system: once connected, you can accept cashless payments particularly quickly without disruptions or connection failures.

Card readers from other providers, on the other hand, often struggle with connection failures between the terminal and the till; moreover, they are not always compatible with your till device. The SumUp card terminal, for example, can only be connected to Android and iOS - the readyMini, on the other hand, is compatible with any POS device that you currently use with ready2order.

The readyMini can be used purely as a card payment terminal, but also as a fully-fledged POS.

The readyGo is our mobile all-in-one POS device with POS software, integrated printer, barcode scanner and card reader function.

Card payment offers numerous advantages for you as a business owner and for your customers:

• Customer needs are changing: more and more people, especially younger target groups, prefer to pay by debit and credit card or mobile payment. Instead of carrying cash around with them or having to go to the bank for larger amounts, they expect flexible, cashless solutions. By enabling this, you fulfil customer wishes and improve their shopping experience.
• Increases sales: By accepting card payments, you expand your target group: customers who prefer to pay by card might not shop or dine with you if you only accept cash. This is especially true if your target group includes tourists who do not always carry cash in a valid currency. If you accept as many payment methods as possible, you won't have to turn anyone away and can generate more sales.
• Cash also costs money: card payments etc. incur fees, but holding cash is not free either. If you want to get (or deposit) change at the bank, you usually have to pay for each roll of change. Human error when handing over change can also result in further losses.
• Card payments are secure: Card payments are generally more secure than cash transactions. Cash can be stolen from your till and counterfeit money fraud is also possible. Many customers also prefer to pay by card.

As soon as the readyMini is connected to your POS system as a mobile card reader and you have activated our readyPay payment service, you can use the readyMini like any other terminal for card payments. Creating an invoice therefore works as usual with all other payment methods:

• Click on a product in the checkout interface
• In the overview (left), you have the option of billing and selecting a payment method
• Select the appropriate payment method

After selecting the payment method, the amount is automatically transferred to your readyMini and you can accept the card payment by inserting/swiping the card, contactless via NFC or via mobile payment.

Important: When using a readyGo, it is not possible to transfer the amount to the readyMini - instead, you can accept card payments directly with the readyGo itself.

readyPay is the ready2order payment service that we provide in cooperation with our partner company, hobex AG. With readyPay you can use our readyGo and also the readyMini as a card reader for cashless payment.
